Food support & affordable shopping for everyone.
We offer two services to the St. Margaret's Bay community, a food bank for those in need and a thrift store open to all, with every sale supporting the food bank.

Food Bank Spotlight
The St. Margaret’s Bay Food Bank provides monthly food support to those in need across the St. Margaret’s Bay area. We offer a variety of non-perishable and perishable foods, including fresh produce, milk, eggs and meat, to support local families and individuals. The food bank is by appointment only. Clients must call in advance to make an appointment. Bay Rides will provide delivery for clients who are unable to access the Food Bank due to a lack of transportation.

Clients can access the food bank once a month
Clients may only access one Food Bank on a regular basis. If more than one Food Bank serves your area, you will need to choose which Food Bank you wish to register with.

Delivery via Bay Rides
Delivery via Bay Rides
Bay Rides will provide delivery for clients who are unable to access the Food Bank due to a lack of transportation. (not a general delivery service)

New clients: call the food bank to become a registered client

Thrift Store Spotlight
Thrift Store Spotlight
The Thrift Store accepts donations of new and used clothing, toys, and small household items. Items can be dropped off at the blue donation bins at the Food Bank during Thrift Store hours or, in small quantities, after hours. If the bins are full, please do not leave items outside. Hold your donations and bring them back when the Thrift Store is open. Thank you!

Fill a Bag for $20
Shoppers can currently fill a bag for $20. It’s an affordable way to find great items while directly supporting the Food Bank’s mission.

Special items are listed on Facebook Marketplace via Margaret B Thrifter. Purchases are picked up at the store. Holds can be placed by e-transfer to smbfoodbank@gmail.com
